The Fairport Central School District is excited to announce Mrs. Stacie Miller has been selected to serve as the next assistant principal at Brooks Hill Elementary School. Starting Aug. 27, she will join the school’s leadership team and help welcome Fairport students and staff back for the start of the 2018-19 school year.
A graduate of Fairport High School, Miller returned to her roots after earning her graduate degree and has spent the past 15 years teaching mathematics at FHS. In addition, Miller has served as the National Honor Society advisor and as a Girls on the Run coach. She has been a valuable part of numerous district committees including the Technology Vision Team, Instructional Support Team, K-12 Curriculum Council, Response to Intervention (RtI) Committee and District Advisory Committee.
“As a Fairport Central School District student, alumnus, educator, parent and community member for more than 25 years, I am completely invested in what is best for our students, as well as the future of our Fairport Central School District,” said Miller.
Miller has been recognized by the New York State Education Department as a Master Teacher and holds National Board Certification. She was selected to introduce the New York State Governor at the State of the State.
Prior to her teaching at Fairport High School, Miller focused her undergraduate coursework and student teaching on elementary and middle school settings. During her interview process, she shared with the committee that she had always hoped to return to the elementary setting.
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Stacie Miller to our administrative staff and to Brooks Hill Elementary School.
