The Fairport Central School District has appointed Jeremy Slack as the new assistant principal of Northside School, effective July 1. He replaces Erin Moretter, who will become the school’s new principal on July 1.
Superintendent Brett Provenzano said that Slack will be a terrific addition to the administrative team at Fairport.
“Mr. Slack will make important contributions with his positive approach and deep understanding of teaching and learning,” said Provenzano.
Slack has been with the Webster Central School District for the past 15 years. In addition to his experience teaching multiple elementary grades, he brings leadership experience, as he has served as an interim elementary assistant principal, interim high school assistant principal and instructional specialist for enrichment K-5.
“Mr. Slack’s knowledge of elementary curriculum, his passion for serving students and staff, and his warm, approachable demeanor make him an excellent fit for our Northside team,” said Moretter.
Slack resides in Fairport with his wife, Nicole, and their 16-month old son, Kyle, and said he has enjoyed the Fairport community as his family’s home and now as part of the school community.
“I am honored to join the Fairport Central School District as the assistant principal at Northside Elementary School,” he said. “I am looking forward to building relationships with students, staff and families throughout the Fairport community.”
