Mrs. E. Blake Peery - Speech Language Pathologist

Hello! My name is Blake Peery and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist for Cabarrus County Schools. I am a graduate of East Carolina University. I grew up in Stanly County, but have lived and worked in Raleigh, NC, Virginia Beach and Richmond, VA. I am finally glad to be 'back home.' I now live in Mount Pleasant and am a proud parent of two Mount Pleasant Tigers. This is my fourteenth year as an SLP. I have worked in both school, early intervention, and private practice settings with students of all ages. This is my eighth year with Cabarrus County Schools.

Speech-Language Services in the school setting are provided to help children be successful communicators in the classroom environment. This includes: properly saying sounds so speech is easier to understand, improving the ability to better understand classroom instruction/better express thoughts and ideas, and increasing fluent speech so speech is smoother and easier to understand.
