Welcome to 2nd grade!  I'm excited about working with you and your child this year.  This year will mark my 17th year of teaching at Bethel Elementary.  I had a relaxing summer and enjoyed spending time with my family and dog.  I have two nieces, who I will talk about a lot! I grew up in Stanfield, NC, and graduated from West Stanly High School.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and my Masters of Arts in Elementary Education from Wingate University.   

 I love to provoke curiosity and wonder during instruction.  I want students to be self-driven and want them to find the answers to the questions they wonder about.  I also like to create a sense of organization among the students to encourage independence and personal responsibility.    I am here to work with you as a team.  Please contact me when you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
