Mrs. Lapalombella

Hello. My name is Michel Lapalombella, or as the students call me, Mrs. L! This is my 16th year as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Bethel Elementary School.   Bethel students definitely have my heart and children who struggle with speech and/or language issues are the reason I come to work each day! I have been a SLP for 32 years. My first 16 years were spent in a pediatric rehabilitation practice, where I collaborated with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Educational Specialists, and Psychologists to treat a variety of speech and language disorders in children from birth to young adulthood. I came to the Bethel and Cabarrus County Schools in 2006 and have learned so much from watching children grow and learn in their daily routines at school. I love being in a school, working with our amazing teachers, and watching children learn.  As well as working with your children, I serve as a Regional Lead for other Speech Therapists in our county. My goal for your children is to help them become confident and successful communicators. Please feel free to contact me with questions and concerns regarding your child.
