Ms. Xianshu Shen

Hi everyone! My name is Xianshu(Joy) Shen. I graduated with an M.Phil. in TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) from Sun Yat-Sen University in China in 2015, and a B.A. in English Language and Literature in Education from Liaocheng University in China in 2012.

I have been engaged in teaching and researching Chinese language and culture education abroad since 2014. I worked as a teacher of Chinese Language and Culture for international students at the Confucius Institute at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines from 2013 to 2014. From 2015 to July 2022, I was invited to work at the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland, teaching Mandarin and Chinese culture for K12 and international students in different schools in Dublin, Ireland. 

Besides teaching, I have traveled to many countries in Europe and Asia. I'd love to bring the beauty of the Chinese language and culture to my students and inspire their curiosity and enthusiasm to explore the world. We will work together and achieve more.
