Mrs. Heather Sizemore

Hello and welcome!  I am so glad you are here!! A little bit about me, this will be my 20th year teaching in the classroom and my first year at Harrisburg Elementary School. I have had the pleasure of teaching Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second grade in my career.  I have spent all my time teaching in North Carolina including 2 local area charter schools for 17 years and 2.5 years in Wilkes county public schools.  I am a graduate of Appalachian State University, and enjoy continuously learning about strategies and tools that can help me in the classroom.

I am a Cabarrus county native.  I have a wonderful husband, Scott and two lively, but sweet boys Barett and Kolton.  Barett will be attending Hickory Ridge Middle and Kolton will be at Harrisburg in first grade with me this year.  We also have a little, crazy dog named Hurley.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running and exercising, cheering my boys on at a ball field (sports are definitely a big part of our family), cooking, and traveling.   I love to have fun and be positive, and I definitely do my best to bring that into my classroom each day.  My expectations in the classroom are high, but never out of reach.  I truly love what I do, and I am always here to help anyway I can!
