Deputy C.A. Carter

Hello Harrisburg Elementary Family! I’m the new school resource officer here at HES. My primary duties are to protect the students, staff and administration during the school day and to provide a safe environment for our students to learn and our teachers to teach. Also, my other duties are to teach the D.A.R.E. program to the fifth-grade students. I am so excited for the opportunity to get to know each and every student and to continue the strong foundation that Harrisburg Elementary School provides.

While I am new to the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s department, I am not new to law enforcement. In March of this year, I retired from the North Carolina Highway Patrol with over 28 years of service. Prior to that I served in the United States Air Force in the Law Enforcement career field.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf and coaching high school softball at West Stanly High School. I am looking forward to serving at Harrisburg Elementary School this year. I promise to be a positive role model for each student and to serve with Respect, Integrity and Dignity each and everyday.
