    FLLAbout Me:

I grew up between Brooklyn and Queens, New York.  I went to college in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I even did an internship working at Walt Disney World.  I graduated from Moravian College in 2009 with my B.A. in Art History, with a minor in English.  After college, I met my husband, Walden, and in 2011 we moved from Bethlehem, Pa to Rockwell, NC.  I decided to go back to school to be a teacher while working for The Hartford.  I earned my teaching license through UNC Charlotte's Graduate Certificate program in 2016.  I taught 3rd grade at Kannapolis Charter Academy (now Concord Lake STEM Academy) in 2016-17.  For the 2017-18 school year, I started at Overton Elementary in Rowan Salisbury Schools.  I taught 5th grade for two years and then moved to 3rd grade.  During my time at Overton I have been fortunate enough to be part of some amazing opportunities, including being endorsed by the district to teach AIG students as well as creating and coaching Rowan Salisbury Schools only First Lego League teams (The Darth Builders and The Jedi Builders).  We went to competition for two years, and in our second year won the award for Team Work.

    My Family:

I met Mr. Cash in 2010.  We married in 2013 in the Pocono Mountains.  This year we were blessed to welcome our son, Aidan.  Your students will hear a lot about Mr. Cash and Aidan throughout the school year, as well as Aidan's Gamma (grandma).  I have family spread throughout the east coast. A lot of them are still up North.
