Posted by Angela Wood on 12/9/2020Ms. Leide is a great support system! I often visit her during planning to talk about my past days and we talk about ways that I can improve for the future. This is a funky year and Ms. Leide helps me as best she can with all the new obstacles that get thrown at us. When I observed her teaching, I have used her classroom screen layout for my students to help them keep track of class information.

Posted by Angela Wood on 12/7/2020Mrs. Platek has been super supportive of me and my transition back into the classroom. She has the best balance of being hands on and also offering support when needed. Her simple ways of checking in in the morning and stopping by to wave throughout the day makes teaching in this hybrid situation a lot less lonely. I appreciate her more than she knows!

Posted by Angela Wood on 12/5/2020Mrs. Sachnin is AMAZING! She goes above and beyond daily with her students and as a leader in the school. She invites me to observe her classroom and gives freely of her time. She has spent time afterschool and on weekends to plan with me. She is consistently uplifting. She lends an ear when needed and I am so grateful for her mentorship. Mrs. Sachnin is a true example of the tremendous impact one passionate and dedicated teacher creates in the community.

Posted by Angela Wood on 12/1/2020Mrs. Burgess is an AMAZING Mentor. She consistently checks in on me, includes me in lesson planning ideas and allows me to be an equal contributor in sharing ideas and resources. I have greatly appreciated the storybook classrooms that she creates and shares with me to utilize on my Canvas page. My students have looked forward to and enjoy listening to stories, songs, and informational videos that go along with weekly lessons and themes. She is always encouraging and motivates me to always think outside the box. Her support is truly appreciated.

Posted by Angela Wood on 12/1/2020Ms. Saunders has been an absolute lifesaver as I transition to a new role in a new district during a pandemic that kept us all at home for the first quarter! I don't think a day has gone by when I haven't reached out with questions, and she answers each with endless patience (even when I ask them more than once!)

Posted by Angela Wood on 11/30/2020Mrs. Brown has been an amazing mentor to have. She has made a tremendous effort in making sure I am okay. She is always reaching out to see how she can support me in planning content, student behavior, and now digital learning. Just being able to talk to her every day and confide in her has made me feel better ten times better as a teacher!

Posted by Angela Wood on 11/30/2020Mrs. Huffman has been instrumental in my success as a beginning teacher this year. We knew this year would be challenging but her support has made it much easier for me to actively plan and reflect on my teaching and lessons with my students. Her input on how to effectively adjust my lessons to teach both remotely and in-person has been a huge help. In situations where I have felt overwhelmed and stressed, she's brought clarity and new insight to each moment. On my hardest days this semester, she's always found a way to make me laugh. Her stalwart leadership of our PLC is something I both admire and try to emulate in my other roles in school. Her wisdom and guidance is invaluable and I am beyond grateful to have her as my mentor.
