Learning Interventions For the Talented

Kindergarten- I will spend this year getting to know our kindergartners and observing their learning styles.  I will provide teachers with resources as needed.

1st and 2nd Grade- All students will experience enrichment lessons that extend the curriculum in the regular classroom. These LIFT lessons allow students, the classroom teacher, and the AIG teacher a chance to collaborate while building potential in high ability students.  The LIFT program consists of whole group and small group lessons which focus on convergent, divergent, visual/spatial, and evaluative thinking skills from the Primary Education Thinking Skills (PETS) curriculum.  Throughout the program, I will work closely with the classroom teacher to collect data through observations and work samples.  After each thinking skill is introduced, I will provide the classroom teacher with possible resources they may use for enrichment within the classroom.
