Mrs. Jennifer Birkemeier

Hi!  My name is Jennifer Birkemeier and this is my ninth year teaching at Harrisburg Elementary.  I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1999 at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia.  In 2003, I completed my graduate studies at SUNY College at Buffalo and earned my master's degree in elementary education specializing in reading instruction.  I began my teaching career 24 years ago in a small town northeast of Buffalo, New York.  During this time, I taught both kindergarten and first grade.  I joined the Harrisburg Elementary family in 2014 as a first grade teacher and was a Kindergarten/First Grade combination class teacher during the 2015-2016 school year.  This will be my seventh year teaching kindergarten at HES!    Kindergarten is an exciting year for our young students.  I am thrilled to be with them on this journey toward life- long learning!
