• Digital Learning Day was celebrated on February 6th, 2013. At Cox Mill High School, we use a variety of digital learning tools every day. Students can be seen in many classrooms or in the hallways working in groups using technology tools.

When opening the school, we chose to diversify the technology equipment we bought so that teachers and students would have access to any piece of technology needed to best suit the need of the activitiy or project. Students have access to Smartboards, Senteo response systems, wireless slates used to control the Smartboard, Flip Video Cameras, Digital Cameras, iPods, Mac Laptops and Desktops, and PC Laptops and Desktops. Now with the BYOT policy in Cabarrus County Schools, students have access to using their own equipment for completing projects as well. Many teachers now use a blended approach of CMHS and BYOT equipment in order to complete learning tasks.

In addition, we work to educate students on safe and responsible use of equipment throughout the year. Our students are very respectful of the equipment we have purchased and work hard to keep it in good working order so they can continue to use it.

Digital Learning Day is every day at CMHS.
