About the Teacher:

Welcome students and parents!

I’m Mrs. Wingfield, and I teach Advanced Research & Writing and also serve as the school Middle Years Program (MYP) Coordinator.  I grew up in Concord and attended Concord Middle School and Concord High School as a student.  I started my teaching journey at Concord Middle School as a 6th grade teacher and move my teaching career to Concord High School in 2015.

Before I began teaching, I lived in central Virginia and worked for 6 years as the hands-on history coordinator for the National D-Day Memorial – a WWII museum. I enjoyed my time in Virginia, but I’m happy to be back home in Concord.  I am proud to say that I graduated from Concord High School (Go Spiders!), earned my Bachelor’s Degree in History from Liberty University in 2007, and completed my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Liberty in 2012.     

 When I’m not at school, I like to spend time with my husband and three boys, Nolan, Reece, and Rhett.  As a family we like to play at the park, visit the mountains, go camping, hike, and travel

 I’m looking forward to a great year at Concord!
