Dear Parents/Guardians:

I want to take this time and introduce myself to you. My name is Donzel Cleare. I will be your son/daughter’s Law  and Justice 2, Career Management and Public Safety 2 Instructor this Spring. These courses are part of the Career and Technology Education curriculum. This course provides basic career information in career choices, community emergency response, private security, the law and positive decision making. Additionally, students will develop a personal plan for a career choices. The course includes skills in each area, using resources from the community to help deliver instruction to the students. English language arts are reinforced.

I am a first-year teacher. I was employed for the New York City Police Department for 20 years and retired September of 2018. I worked as a Patrol Officer, a Sergeant, and Commanding Officer of Community Affairs for the Housing Bureau. I always enjoyed contributing to my community and working with youth. I created and facilitated many empowerment programs for the students within the Department of Education. I’m extremely honored and motivated to take on this new challenge in assisting our students develop into our future leaders and to help identify our future public safety and community heroes.
