Welcome to First Grade

Hello, my name is Roberta Lattin and I consider it a tremendous honor to be your child's First Grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This is my first year teaching at A.T. Allen Elementary and my 24th year with Cabarrus County Schools. I am licensed in Birth-Kindergarten and Elementary Education (K-6). I completed my MAEd in Reading in May 2015. 

My husband (John) and I are originally from Rhinebeck, NY. We moved to Concord, NC in 1994. We have been married for 31 years and have two wonderful children (Steven & Sarah). Steven and his wife (Sarah) blessed us with an adorable grandson in 2019 and will soon be blessing us with a granddaughter in October. John and I absolutely love being grandparents and spending time with Tommy!

Our First Grade team plans to provide many exciting learning experiences and activities throughout the year to support your child's development. It is my goal to create a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment for all of my students. I know each child has his/her own unique learning style. I believe that an open parent/teacher relationship is the key to a child's success in school and that it's essential that you are an active part of your child's education.
