- Students will identify the U.S as a North American Country bordered by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, Canada and Mexico.
- Students will be able to identify and locate the capital (Washington, D.C.)
- Students will discuss and read about the U.S’s geography, natural resources, climate, and the population’s adaptations to those.
- Students will take an informal assessment based on the essential knowledge taught.
- Students will recognize the U.S.’s influence on the world economy through its exports.
- Students will identify some of the exports and imports of the U.S
- Students will discuss how U.S. geography impacts its economy.
- Identify the natural resources, agricultural goods, and major industries of the U.S.
- Identify the national holidays of the U. S.
- Discuss traditions that are unique to the different cultural groups in the U.S.
- Identify elements of a culture in the community.
