(4:18) Two students share their electrical circuit consisting of a switch, battery, and light bulb. Without the use of a visualizer, the entire class need to crowd around the two students' circuit while they attempt to explain for all to see and hear. The teacher does an excellent job of involving the class and maximizing the effectiveness of the visualizer by the observing students. -

Videostreaming (in the Lab)
(1 min 27 sec) Videostreaming allows video to be streamed to the computer as it is being viewed over the internet, without the need to download large files. The most significant advantage is that students can view the video at their own pace, pausing, rewinding, fast-forwarding and playing as needed. Other advantages are included on the video. -

Distance Learning: NASA Astronaut Pam Melroy
Astronaut Colonel Pam Melroy, commander of the last Discovery Space Shuttle Mission last October spoke to students in the Honeoye Central School District on Monday February 25 from 10:45- 11:50 and again from 12:50-1:55. She spoke to grades K-5 students in the first session and to grades 6-8 in the second session. Other districts had the opprotunity to view the video conference passively (by watching only). This video shows portions of this one-way presentations.
