Welcome

Dear students and parents,

I am honored to be spending another year at BHS with your students.  Brighton offers many opportunities for students to explore their interests and become life long learners.  I currently support 10th grade students in resource room and with Mr. Kantz in integrated co-taught English 10 classes.  During the summer, I teach English 10 and 12 for credit recovery.

Students can expect to be engaged in active learning, which includes critical thinking about reading and writing.  Students will be immersed in exciting canonical and contemporary literature with a balanced approach founded on common core standards.

All students will have the opportunity to explore personal interests through reading and writing, and as a result, grow into well developed thinkers. In Resource Room, we continue the development of all of these skills, as well as learning strategies and methods for approaching content in a way that is most appropriate for each learner.
