Ms. Jennifer Foster

I am originally from San Antonio, TX, but grew up in Pennsylvania and I am also a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. My girls and I relocated to Biloxi from Central PA in 2010. And....it was truly the BEST decision I ever made! We love everything about the Gulf Coast Life in Biloxi and being a part of the #IndianNation we now call home.

I started my PFE teaching career as a Kindergarten Assistant Teacher in 2013. In 2016, I was honored with the opportunity to join the fabulous Specials Team as the Computer Lab Teacher. Growing up during the rise of computers and the internet. I have always been fascinated and impressed with technology. Today, technology is constantly changing and affects almost every aspect of our lives, so there is always something new and exciting to learn about computers. The power of knowledge creates improvements which produces success!

I have 3 beautiful daughters who are my whole world outside of PFE. My oldest, Jordyn, graduated in 2018. Jocelyn is a 2023 BHS graduate and now at USM and my baby girl Jayden is a Junior at Biloxi High school. My absolute favorite hobby since I was a kid has always been photography. So most of the time you will see me at PFE will be with a camera in my hand!
Foster- My Girls
  • In the PFE Computer Lab:
Students will visit me once a week for a 45 minute period.  During that time, students will have the opportunity to learn about computers, operate basic educational programs and games. I teach typing skills with guided lessons from Typing Agent & Typing Club, and also the responsibility of being a good digital citizen. My students have tons of fun learning how to code while playing beginner coding games and dance parties. I really enjoy teaching students about the technology of computers and how they can use them as an educational tool. I also strive to teach all my students the importance, responsibly, and safety of how to use these tools, computers, the worldwide internet and now social media outlets safely.

Throughout the year, students will also have the opportunity to learn how to navigate and use programs like Google Classroom and Google Docs, as well as create a few fun projects using Canva and Paint. PFE Students will also have the opportunity to complete a program that instructs them on safe internet usage and cyberbullying.

I am the advisor for our WPFE morning news crew and co-advisor on the yearbook staff. I am also the webmaster for the Popp's Ferry Elementary School's Website and PFE Facebook page.
