In the PFE Computer Lab:Students will visit me once a week for a 45 minute period. During that time, students will have the opportunity to learn about computers, operate basic educational programs and games. I teach typing skills with guided lessons from Typing Agent & Typing Club, and also the responsibility of being a good digital citizen. My students have tons of fun learning how to code while playing beginner coding games and dance parties. I really enjoy teaching students about the technology of computers and how they can use them as an educational tool. I also strive to teach all my students the importance, responsibly, and safety of how to use these tools, computers, the worldwide internet and now social media outlets safely.
Throughout the year, students will also have the opportunity to learn how to navigate and use programs like Google Classroom and Google Docs, as well as create a few fun projects using Canva and Paint. PFE Students will also have the opportunity to complete a program that instructs them on safe internet usage and cyberbullying.
I am the advisor for our WPFE morning news crew and co-advisor on the yearbook staff. I am also the webmaster for the Popp's Ferry Elementary School's Website and PFE Facebook page.
