Welcome! I am Debbie Powell, and I teach 2nd grade Reading and English Language Arts. This is my 27th year teaching in Biloxi Public Schools. I am so thankful to be a part of Popp's Ferry Elementary. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Special Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. I obtained my Master's degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University. During my teaching career, I have taught and worked with students in all grades K-12. I have to say, 2nd graders are the best! I cannot wait to make memories with my students this year at the best school - Popp's Ferry Proud!
