• What is a safety patrol at school?
Student safety patrols enhance enforcement of drop-off and pick-up procedures at school by increasing safety for students and traffic flow efficiency for parents. Such efforts allow students to participate in promoting traffic safety where they learn skills they can use in their everyday lives.

Teach leadership. Promote situational awareness to the student body. Teach children the importance of their role in the school's educational hierarchy. Teach children the importance of discipline and dedication to duty in their daily lives.

    Citizenship - Leadership - Service - Responsibility

PFE Safety Patrol membership is an honor and a privilege. Safety Patrol is a job of commitment and service to your school throughout the year. Patrols must display leadership qualities and be responsible. They will assist with morning student drop-off and afternoon dismissal. Patrol duties will include opening/closing doors, being courteous to adults and children, assisting students in the halls and walkways, displaying and taking care of the United States Flag and monitoring appropriate student behavior in the hallways before and after school.  Whether patrols are on-duty or off-duty, they should observe the school rules and always set a POPP's FERRY PROUD example.
