Destinee Fry: PCHS Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight

Help us congratulate our next PCHS Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight, Miss Destinee Fry!

Destinee is the daughter of Jennifer and Matt Fry and Shane Needels. 

Her favorite quote is from Beyonce'. "The most alluring thing a woman can have is confidence."

While in high school, Destinee enjoyed participating in cheerleading her freshman year and joined the art club. Her favorite class was cooking because it helped to prepare her for the future. 

Destinee's advice for incoming freshmen: "Be nothing but yourself. The people who love you for you are your true friends."

We asked Destinee what her funniest memory from high school has been so far. She told us, "When Mr. Watt dyed his beard green."

Her most memorable moment: "My most memorable moment at Putnam was how Shaylie Leeper and Ashlynn Knowles helped me through my new school experience and I am very proud to say they are the truest friends I have. I thank them for welcoming me with open arms."

Destinee told us the teacher who had the greatest impact on her was Mrs. Owings. "She always took her time to help me understand my assignments. She understands that I have troubles and finds a way to explain so I understand. She is very warm-hearted and caring." Destinee added, "I would also like to say that I love how Putnam County puts so much effort into making the students feel safe and cared for at the school."

After graduation, Destinee plans to go to college to get her degree in business and open up her own photography studio. She says in 5-10 years, "I see myself going strong in my business, having a beautiful family in a wonderful home."
