Jim Howard: PCHS Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight

Help us congratulate our next PCHS Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight, Jim (J.J.) Howard!

Jim's parents are John and Amber Worley.

His favorite quote is "Never give up. You get knocked down and you stand up and keep on going. As things get heavier, then soon it will get light."

One of Jim's favorite high school accomplishments was being able to play football.

Jim's advice for incoming freshmen: Don't take all easy classes your freshman and sophomore year. Be strategic so you don't have all the hard ones left for your junior and senior years.

We asked Jim what his funniest memory at PCHS has been so far. He told us, "Once when I was at a football game and a teammate grabbed the ball when we were on defense and tried snapping the ball and he didn't realize what was going on. And when my sister saw that she had a black hair and thought she might be part Native American."

Jim tells us he plans to enter the workforce the day after he graduates. He plans on joining the road crew to help make our roads better. In 5-10 years, he plans to be working his way up on the road crew and traveling out of state to visit his biological mom.

We asked Jim what staff member(s) have had the biggest impact on him here at PCHS. He told us, "Mrs. Klinginsmith and Ms. Miller. Because they let me know when I am doing well and they also help me push myself to do and be better."

"My favorite class at Putnam is Intermediate Algebra because it gets on my parents' nerves when I ask for help since it's not like the math they learned in their good ole days."

Fun fact: Jim enjoys rapping and has 2 songs on SoundCloud.

Jim tells us his most memorable moment at Putnam County High School has been "coming here and being a straight F student to being the best student out of my biological family besides my mom. And also being taken in by my foster parents. They mean the most to me even though I hide that."

Help us congratulate, Jim Howard! We wish you all the best in your future!
