LCAP & District Plans
In 2013, the state of California adopted a new formula for funding public education called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). As part of the LCFF requirements, school districts must develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year plan called the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP describes goals, actions, services, and expenditures that meet state and local priorities in serving students.
Input from our educational partners is a key feature of LCFF. From March 6-24, 2023, a ThoughtExchange was shared with parents, students, and community partners to provide input on priorities for the LCAP. A 27 member LCAP Advisory Committee made up of parents, SELPA representatives, teachers, classified staff, DELAC representatives, district and site administrators met three times to review the results of the ThoughtExchange, relevant data (Annual Update), and provided input on goals, actions and services. DAC/DELAC representatives provided input on March 29 and June 7, 2023. All parent and community partners were invited to provide valuable feedback on the 2023-2024 LCAP draft. Thank you to those community members that attended the LCAP Community Forums during the 2022-2023 school year!
