• DARE/SRO

    The Caldwell County School Resource Officer Program consists of 14 deputies, 8 of which are presently D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Officers, who work in conjunction with Caldwell County Schools. Each of these officers have received specialized training in juvenile law and legal issues dealing with school settings. These deputies are in place to establish a liason with school administration in a cooperative effort to prevent juvenile delinquency, maintain a safe and secure environment that is conductive to learning, to prevent criminal activities and disturbances. These deputies help to promote positive attitudes regarding the role of Law Enforcement in society and to be a great role model for the students.
