My name is Ashley Hartsell and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Baton. I received my Bachelor's degree at App State (Go Mountaineers!!) and my Master's degree from Grand Canyon University. This will be my 16th year at Baton and my 14th year teaching 3rd grade.

I am from a rural town called Spruce Pine, which is located in the Appalachian Mountains between Boone and Asheville. I moved to Caldwell County when I got a job at Baton. I am married to my wonderful husband, Toby and we have 3 children: Renleigh (8), Averie (6), and Braydon (4).  We also have two fur babies named Bella and Nova. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time outdoors, and being with my family and friends.
