Welcome to the Seahawks team!!  This is my 24th year of teaching and I can't wait to explore the exciting world of mathematics with this year's students. I will be teaching Math I (Algebra I) 3^rd period and Eighth Grade Math 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th periods.  I spent many of my school-age years growing up in neighboring Union County and graduated from Sun Valley High School. I received a B.A. in Biology from UNC-Chapel Hill, a B.A. in Middle Grades Education from UNC-Charlotte, and a Masters in Middle Grades Education from UNC-Charlotte. I also received a certificate to teach gifted students through the Cabarrus County Schools GLEE (Gifted Local Endorsement for Education) program.

I am married with a ten-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son. I enjoy reading, going to the beach or pool and watching my kids participate in sports activities on the weekend.
