My name is Chris Shinn and I am entering my 24th year in teaching and athletics with Cabarrus County Schools.

I am a graduate of Cabarrus County Schools and Appalachian State University.  The first 20 years of my career were spent in high school.  I taught weight training, was a head track coach, head football coach, and later served as athletic director of two different county high schools.  In 2019, I decided to leave high school for middle school so that I could spend more time with my wife and my two daughters, Kayley and Emily.  This will be my first year at Mount Pleasant Middle School.  I teach physical education and serve as the school athletic director.

  

 

PE uniforms are currently available for purchase during your child's Health and PE Encore time. Uniforms are $20 and include the t-shirt and shorts. You may purchase the individual items (shirt/shorts) for $10 each.
