My name is Tesoro Salas and I am excited about developing communicative proficiency in these important world language classes, Spanish 1 and 2. I was born in Cusco, Perú and received my first degree in Economics from La Universidad de San Antonio Abad del Cusco and a second degree in Education from La Universidad Federico Villarreal in Lima. After teaching English as a Foreign Language in Perú for more than 20 years, I relocated to Concord, NC. In 2021, I was recruited to be part of a Teacher Quality Partnership initiative between UNC Charlotte and Cabarrus County/Kannapolis City Schools. I completed my initial license in Spanish K-12 this May and will finish my MAT in Foreign Language Education in December.
