Ms. Ruíz-González

Hello, Wolverine family! My name is Nashaly Ruíz-González.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico but I live in Charlotte, North Carolina, and have lived here for the past 16 years. I taught Spanish and Latin American Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and this will be my second year here at West Cabarrus High School. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor’s in Spanish Literature in 2017 and later with both a Master of Arts in Spanish Literature and a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies in 2019. I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching (World Language Education – Spanish) in December of 2021.

In my spare time, I love to take polaroid pictures and spend time with my family and my dogs!

  • Is this class completely taught in Spanish?

    The amount of Spanish used in the classroom will gradually increase. By the time students have completed the course, 85% of the class will be in Spanish.

  • What do I do in case of an absence?
