  • The Federal Government provides financial aid options for students such as federal loans and grants. 

     

     

    Federal Student Loans:

    -This is money that is loaned to you to cover the cost of education tuition. 

     

     

    -To qualify for a federal loan you must complete a Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) EVERY year. 

     

     

    -Your loan application will be reviewed and you will be approved for an amount that fits your financial need and cost of tuition. 

     

     

    -Loans ARE NOT FREE MONEY! Loans must be paid back...typically 6-12 months after you graduate or complete your program. 

     

     

     

    Federal Grants:

    -This is money that is "granted" to you to cover the cose of education tuition.

     

     

    -To qauilify for federal grants you must complete a Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) EVERY year. 

     

     

    -You grant application will be reviewed and you be approved and granted an amount that fits your financial need and cost of tuition. 

     

     

    -Grants ARE FREE MONEY! You DO NOT have to pay back money that is granted to you for tuition.

  • www.studentaid.gov is the offical website for completing Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Here, you can create your own account to keep track of all your FAFSA information.

     

     

    *IMPORTANT: NEVER enter your or your family's personal information on ANY financial aid website that is not official. Most websites have ".gov" or ".edu" or ".org" at the end. If a website looks suspecious trust your gut.*
