    Media Center Guidelines

    Students in total virtual school can place books on "hold" in the Destiny Library system.  Students should follow all the directions in this slideshow.

    Students may pick up their books Monday-Thursday at the front doors between 8:30-2:00.

     

     

    Class Checkout: Each class will check out books on their Media Connect class day.  Kindergartners and 1st graders will also check out books from a cart in their classroom on their day with the Guidance Counselors.

     

    IDs: Students and staff should wear their ID (nametag) everyday. 

    All students will receive an ID at the beginning of the school year.  New students will receive an ID after enrollment.  Current students with a lost or broken ID will need to pay $2 for a replacement ID.

     

    Book Check-Out:

    Check-out period is 2 weeks for print books and eBooks.  Books may be renewed for 2 additional weeks.

    Kindergartners and 1st graders may check out 1 book at a time.  2nd - 5th graders may check out 2 books at a time.

    4th and 5th graders may check out 3 books if teacher has a request for a literature unit or research assignment.

    Battle of the Books participants in grades 4 and 5 may check out 3 books (only 1 or 2 "battle" books).

     

    Lost or Damaged Books:

    Students or teachers with lost or damaged books will be given a notice with the fine amount.  

    Fines can be paid by cash or check payable to the school (include phone number & student name).
