    Students in grades 2-5 visit the media center once every 6 school days.  Kindergarten and 1st grades visit every 12 school days. 
    During this time, I help students develop their literacy and information technology skills.  I will follow the NC Standard Course of Study for Digital Learning Grades K-12 .  I will also follow the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Students.
     
    Students also check out books during their assigned class time.  Kindergartners and first graders will also exchange books on their Guidance day with Mrs. Misenheimer or Mrs. Campbell.  
     
    Kindergartners and 1st graders may check-out 1 book at a time and 2nd-5th graders can check-out 2 books.  If a teacher requires that specific books for a literature unit or research project, then students in 4th and 5th grades can check-out up to 3 books.
