Hello, Noble Knights family!

My name is Ms. Bishop and I am your child's 7th grade ELA/ALPS teacher! I grew up in Salisbury, NC and have a deep love of Cheerwine! I have an MA in English literature and a BA in Child Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have a husband and three children (two furry children, and one non-furry child). Not only am I an employee of Cabarrus County Schools, but I am also a parent of a CCS student. My daughter Astrid, is a first grader at R. Brown McAllister Elementary School. My favorite things to do are reading, CrossFit, dancing, and learning about history. 

Reading is an essential skill that will lead to greater avenues of understanding for your child. As such, please expect your child to be reading every day for class as well as having reading time at home. Together, we can form a system of support to get your child excited for reading! I can't wait to teach your child this year at J.N. Fries Magnet Middle School!
