“Lemonade”

Lemonade

Inspired by the poem,

“This is Just to Say”,

 I have gulped down

The ice cold lemonade

That was sitting

Inside the fridge waiting for somebody

To scarf down and devour its refreshing flavor

And which you were obviously expecting

To save

For the long, tiring, walk home from school

Forgive me

It was not my intention

And I could not resist

It was so delicious

So cold

And so tempting
