Working...
Mrs. Whitworth’s Third Grade students have been learning how important it is to share with each other about their books they have read and stories they have written. The students spend 20 minutes reading and then find a reading partner to share with briefly what they read about. This sparks an interest for their partner to possibly want to read the book themself. The students also get an opportunity to share during Writer’s Workshop. After writing for 20-30 minutes, the students share their writing with a writing partner. They get topic ideas from each other when they share. This also helps them to catch some mistakes as they read their story out loud to each other. The students have done a wonderful job in being a positive partner in their comments and help towards each other.
