The children were very anxious for Christmas vacation!  Mrs. Altiser planned a movie for the elementary the day before school let out for break.  The movie for the third graders was in the afternoon.  So, the third grade teachers planned some fun to fill the morning.  We started off with a read-a-thon.  This included the children reading as well as the teachers reading to them.      Throughout the morning, the kids participated in a few different activities as well.  One of them included making a Christmas tree by painting a snow-cone holder.  They also rotated between the three classrooms to participate in a teacher planned activity.  Ms. Smith made her famous sugar cookies and had the kids decorate them.  Mrs. Caley had the children make a Santa star ornament.  Mrs. Whitworth played a game having the children blow up balloons to create a reindeer with antlers.

    Fun was had by all!!!
