Sixth Grade Math Students Learn About the "Powers" in Math!
When the sixth-grade math students return to the classroom after taking a little break, they will be working with power! Students will write expressions as powers, find values of powers, and evaluate numerical expressions with whole-number exponents.
Our math stars (each student is a math star) will then be working with prime factorizations, greatest common factors, and least common multiples. Each of the tasks we will be working with involves multiplication.
It would be great if their support system at home could help them practice their multiplication facts! Grand Prix Multiplication is a great online game for your student to practice -- and maybe a challenge between home support and student! :)
