"Bee"-utiful Art

Second grade can "bee" creative! A rainbow of possiblities!

We are off to a flying start this new school year! The theme in our elementary school is "Be the One". Be the one to go the extra mile, be a helper, good friend... My students are creating bees, many, many bees! Yippee! This is sooooo much fun! I enjoy making this art with my students, as well as, talking about what they can be, and the choice is theirs. The possibilities are endless. We are also learning some facts about bees. Some artistic creativity has been happening by changing up the colors but keeping the classic stripes. We are still in the art-making process.

I can't wait to see what my students will create this year. But more importantly, I am in anticipation of what they choose to be.
