Art and Music Month Celebrations

I hope all of our Putnam County families are doing well! We are celebrating the Arts from home and online this week, March 30th-April 3rd. We have NEW dress-up days and activities to do from home. These are listed below and on Mrs. Dooley's Google site. We appreciate all of your support and have fun! The Arts Appreciation Month of March Moved to Online: Music in Our Schools (and now from home) Month and Youth Art Month *We have moved back our celebration of the Arts to March 30th-April 3rd and will be celebrating online from home.

Students and staff and their families can show support by participating in the following dress-up days and activities:

-Music Monday: Dress Musically...wear band t-shirt or music themed clothes Call a friend or family member and sing them an encouraging song

-Tie Dye Tuesday: Wear Tie Dye today to celebrate the art and music of the 60’s Create a colorful landscape and give it a name

-Wacky Wednesday: The Arts are Super! Wear your favorite Superhero t-shirt Draw or design a new superhero Come up with a theme song to go along with your new hero

-Color Thursday: Keep Calm and Color On! Dress in colorful clothing Make a colorful picture

-Friday at the Opera: Dress up like you’re going to the opera! Watch or listen to an opera or a musical

-Send photos of your artwork and of you dressing up to Mrs. Dooley’s email: tdooley@putnamcountyr1.net which she will try to post on her google site. Mrs. Waugh and Mrs. Dooley are excited to hear from you! -Please dress, draw, and sing appropriately and all school rules apply.
