Fun Friday at the City Park
Kindergarten students enjoyed a field trip to the city park to play this morning.
Providing kids with the opportunity to play with friends on the playground gives them the ability to develop athletic abilities, cardio endurance, and strength as they explore the different pieces of equipment at the park.
By playing common and newly invented games with other classmates, they increase their agility, help develop their fine and gross motor skills, improve their coordination and balance, and help prevent childhood obesity.
Playing outdoors is one of the best ways to improve mental health for these little ones too! There's nothing more therapeutic than sunshine, fresh air, and giggles and games with friends. Physical activity helps release pent-up energy and decrease the anxiety and fidgets the children often experience if getting too much screen time.
Take some time and enjoy the great outdoors this summer with the children in your life. They will thank you for it!
