Jeremy Watt: Curriculum Director & High School Science

Though it marks year 16 at Putnam County and year 21 in education, this fall marks the second year Mr. Jeremy Watt will be teaching physical science and biology at Putnam County.  After five years of teaching science in Southwest Missouri, he became the Putnam County High School principal back in 2004 and loved the return to his alma mater.  The decision to return to the classroom is one that he has always entertained, as he loves daily opportunities to help students work toward their academic potential.  As a matter of fact, even while serving as principal, he taught one year of physics at Putnam County back when we still operated on a block schedule.

Mr. Watt also serves as the district curriculum director.  In his spare time, he serves as a freshman class sponsor, Interact sponsor, head scholar bowl coach, and head junior high football coach.

Coach Watt has a variety of interests outside of his professional responsibilities.  He loves family time with his wife and four boys, church activities with friends, reading, boating, swimming, shooting, fishing, and hunting just to name a few.

Mr. Watt is a 1992 Putnam County High School graduate. After high school, Jeremy went on to obtain multiple degrees.
