Welcome to 5th Grade!

My name is Janelle Harmon. I was born and raised in Mukilteo. I attended Mukilteo Elementary school (Mrs. Powers was my Kindergarten teacher) and then came to Columbia Elementary School in second grade when it opened. I then attended Harbour Pointe Middle School and Kamiak High School where I was actively involved in swimming, choir and theater.

After graduating, I attended Western Washington University in Bellingham and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I began my teaching career at Columbia Elementary as a 5^th grade teacher in the fall of 2007. 

We have two boys, Finn was born in the Spring of 2014 and Blake in 2016. As a family we enjoy playing at the park, swimming, playing sports, arts and crafts, and cooking.

Some of my favorite things include outdoor activities, hot chocolate with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle, Taro bubble tea,  Funyuns,  shopping at thrift stores, and doing arts and crafts.
