Hello Columbia Cougars!

I am Mrs. Pietzsch! Fun fact- my name is pronounced peach like the fruit. I graduated from Antioch University in June 2004 with my K-8 certification.  In June 2007 I obtained my master’s degree in education. This is my eighth-year teaching first grade and my seventeenth year in the Mukilteo School District. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to teach kindergarten, fifth grade and middle school ELA but my favorite is first grade! I am very excited to be a part of this special learning community!J

Currently, I am living in Mukilteo with my husband Todd, and our little dogs Pepper and Bailey. I have four wonderful children.  Lance enjoys working, swimming, and staying active in the outdoors and Makayla attends UW working to obtain her master’s in educational policy. Carissa and Kelsey both work and live in Newport Beach, California. We miss them a ton but love to meet them at our house in Arizona to golf and hang out in the pool! I love to read, walk my dogs, spend time with family and friends, and work with children—especially first graders!
