California Health Kids Survey
The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is a service of the California Department of Education (CDE) to provide a comprehensive effort to look at key data around school climate and safety, learning supports and barriers, stakeholder engagement, youth development, health, and well-being. The CDE has funded the survey since 1997 to provide data in assisting schools around: 1) fostering safe and supportive school climates; 2) preventing youth health risk behaviors; and 3) promoting positive youth development.
Mill Valley Middle School administers the survey to 7th graders.
