• What is Panther Time?

    Panther Time is an opportunity for students to seek help from a teacher, work on assignments and homework, or independently read. Students will be with their Panther Time teacher on Wednesdays, 10:41-11:26am. They will be placed with one of their regular classroom teachers.

     

    What other activities are involved with Panther Time?

    The time can also be used for schoolwide activities or business including, but not limited to,conducting fire and lock down drills, pulling students for Solution Teams, distributing and collecting school materials such as Behavior/Technology Agreements or First Week Packets, holding grade level assemblies, organizing certain ASB activities and field trips, and learning about social/emotional health.

     

    What is required of students during Panther Time?

    During Panther Time,students will either be: 1) Getting help from a teacher; 2) Working quietly on homework; or 3) Reading Independently. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN INDEPENDENT READING BOOK WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES AND THEIR PANTHER PLANNER.

     

    Will students be able to plan ahead with Panther Time?

    The Assistant Principal will send out a monthly schedule for Panther Time activities, so students can plan accordingly if they need help from a teacher on a specific day. A majority of the time will be getting help, working on homework, or reading.  All school-wide activities and instructions will be written on the schedule. 

     

    Will students earn a grade in Panther Time?

    All students will receive a credit grade/no credit grade based on effort and citizenship.Students who receive “no credit” will be placed on the Loss of Privilege list.
