For science, we will begin the year by investigating the relationship between energy, motion and forces as we explore our Physics unit. We will also cover Chemistry and History of the Earth. A short unit of Family/Sex Ed will be covered between Thanksgiving and Winter Break. Our culminating unit will be Astronomy, where we will study known objects in space and the universe as a whole. These units will lay the foundation for the upcoming Physics in the Universe course at Tam High. We will be using a variety of resources to augment and support our science curriculum including (but not limited to) student science material kits, PhET simulations, PBS learning resources, Science World Magazine (videos and articles), Brainpop, Physics and Astronomy Webquests, and our Pearson science textbook for reference.
