Lacey Cherry
Mrs. Cherry is J.E. Woodard's School Counselor. She spent nine years as a classroom teacher before discovering her passion for supporting students in their social and emotional wellbeing. She has worked in schools all across Tennessee, but Woodard is her favorite- partly because she was a Wildcat herself as a child! She enjoys crafting, reading, and spending time with her family.

Joseph Davis
Coach Davis was born in Louisiana but raised here is Tennessee. He graduated from MTSU is 2008, then joined the Untied States Marine Corps a year later. Coach Davis served four years loading ammunition and working on Huey and Cobra Helicopters. After his time in the military he became the P.E. teacher here at Woodard in 2013.

Rachel Harris
Ms. Harris grew up in Nashville and began her love of music there. She learned to play piano in elementary school and joined band in middle school to play flute. In high school and college, she continued playing flute and piccolo in several different ensembles including Vanderbilt "Spirit of Gold" Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, and various groups around the Music department. Ms. Harris graduated from Lipscomb University with her degree in Music Education then joined the Woodard faculty in 2019.

Kira Holt
Mrs. Holt is J.E. Woodard's art teacher. She has been teaching for 5 years and has been a Woodard Wildcat for 4 years. She graduated from MTSU in 2018 with a degree in Art Education. She now lives in Columbia with her husband and 2 year old daughter. Mrs. Holt loves her job and sharing her love for art with her students!

Dovie MacPherson
Mrs. MacPherson is now in her 14th year of teaching at J.E. Woodard Elementary. She taught Kindergarten for five years, 3rd grade for 4 years, and now teaches STEM. She serves as the school's Tech Coach and Tech Ambassador. She loves teaching students how to think outside the box and often competes in class with them. She loves golf, time at the lake, and spending time with her family and friends.

Amber Skelton
Mrs. Skelton grew up in Texas, moved to Arkansas and has been in Tennessee for 9 years. She taught PreK for 5 years in North Little Rock, AR. Since being in TN, she has only been in the library, 4 years at Cox Middle and 4 years at Whitthorne Middle. Mrs. Skelton is very excited to be back in the elementary school setting and share her love of books.
