I was born and raised in Austin, Texas.  I graduated high school from McCallum HS in Austin and went on to attend University of Texas at Austin.  I graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and Psychology from Texas State University.  I worked nine years in Austin ISD, teaching 8 years of middle-school and 1 year of high school.  At this time, I decided to return to grad school to get my master's degree and took a year off from teaching.  After the year was up, I made up my mind to move to the Pacific Northwest as an adventure, so I packed up my stuff and moved to Portland, Oregon.  I spent 14 years teaching at a wonderful high school in Portland. During this time, I also reconnected with my high-school sweetheart and we got married.  I now have four beautiful step-daughters.  After living in Portland for 14 years, we decided it was time to be closer to family, so we moved back to Texas and I began my teaching job at Marble Falls HS.  This is now my second year at MFISD and I'm glad to be here.  My family has lived in Spicewood for over 30 years so I am very glad to come back home.
